The Flower Garden Banks National Marine Sanctuary is located 100 nautical miles Southeast of Galveston. It
contains the northernmost coral reefs in the United States. Due to the distance traveled to get there, trips are usually 2-3 days long. February - March
is when thousands of hammerhead sharks school the banks. In late summer, whale sharks are frequently seen.

Details - Most of the reefs sit at 55' to 65' and go down as far as 160' with the base at 476'.
Marine Life - Manta rays, whale sharks, hammerheads, rays, sea turtles, marine mammals, octopus, squid, and hundreds of different species of fish.
